You may look at this ring and ask, “What kind of stone is that?”.
I have had this asked many times and always get a surprised look
when I say is it glass. Then you might ask, “How do you do that?” So, I
offer a full explanation, of course!!
This glass cabochon is made up of silver foil, cobalt blue and turquoise blended for an organic look and feel. It makes for great style with jeans both casual and dressy!
- This ring is a size 6.5.
- The overall height of the ring is 1" from the top of the cab to the bottom of the shank.
- The top of the ring is 1 1/2" at is widest.
- The lampwork glass cabochon is fabricated using turquoise, cobalt blue and silver foil.
- All of my lampwork glass is annealed for hardness.
Each piece of my wearable art is hand-fabricated including my one of a kind lampwork glass cabochons. My original designs, influenced by symbolic mandala patterns which are etched or milled into sterling silver. As the piece comes together I add additional fine or sterling silver elements for balance, texture and interest.
I believe each piece I create should delight the wearer each time the put it on with the blending of pattern, design and color.
I design and make all of my jewelry in my home studio in Texas.
